1. Accelerate Slowly. A car consumes most gas when accelerates and don’t speed. Speeding is not inefficient in terms of gasoline usage.

2. Gas Card. Find a gas credit card that offers various kinds of promotions/specials to loyal customers or gives you a percentage of your total purchase back in the form of gift cards or cash.


3. Lights Out. Electrical equipment is powered from the alternator, which will increase its load on the engine to produce more power, so when you can do it safely, turn off headlights.


4. Lighten Load. Heavy load in your car requires more gas, start with removing all un-need items from your trunk and back seats. Don't drive around with too much junk in your trunk.


5. Filling Up. Never using a station whose tanks are being refilled also gas up when it's cool outside and pumping gas on the slowest setting, which helps maximize how much fuel you get.


6. Shade It. If you can park your car in the shade, so the AC is not work as hard to cool your car. In the winter, if you can park where you will get the most direct sun.


7. Parking. Roll down the windows just a tiny bit, so the air can circulate through your car while you are parked.

9. Avoid Additives. They cost additional money, studies have shown that additives do nothing to improve your gas mileage.


10. AC Tip. Turn off the AC 1 to 2 minutes before you reach your destination.


11. Traffic. Avoid heavy traffic and lots of traffic lights. The shortest route may not be the most fuel efficient.

Clean your car’s air filter. A clean air filter can improve your gas mileage. Cleaning your air filter is easy to do in just a few minutes, just follow the instructions in your car's manual.


13. Gas Pump. Fill your tank before it hits empty, you're less likely to get sediment in your fuel system, which makes your car run less efficiently and uses more gas.


14. Carpool. Ask at work if anyone lives near you or near the same place that you do. You can halve the wear and tear and gas costs for your car.

19. Pump It up. Don't drive on under inflated tires. Under inflated tires wear down more quickly and they also lower your car's gas mileage. Check your car manual for details.



20. Straighten Up.
Better alignment cause less tire wear and less force on your engine. Align your tires and save on gas.


21. Ready To Go. Don't bother to warm up your car before driving, it is not necessary.
